Moment of Oops

Moment of Truth is having its day in the sun (see video), but I'm not buying. From where I stand, it looks like Fox took the Jerry Springer principle, in which participants are either running game or coached by producers and applied it to primetime.

If people are willing to believe that Jane is pregnant by her cousin John at one in the afternoon, imagine how gullible they are by primetime. Throw in an increased budget and bamboozling the masses has to be pretty easy.

Just look at the story. Wife sleeps around on her husband, who just happens to be a cop... Who's sleeping with a cop's wife and then showing their face on national television? You wouldn't be able to drive ten feet without getting pulled over.

And what cop is going to let his wife go on television and admit to dogging on him? Policing doesn't work unless there's a certain level of fear and respect involved. Let's say you're robbing a bank -- are you really going to put your hands up for that idiot who got played on Moment of Truth?

Me neither.
